Ministry: Russia’s spring sowing rises 0.9% on year as of Thursday

MOSCOW, Jun 16 (PRIME) -- Russian farmers sowed 51.107 million hectares with spring crops as of Thursday, which is a 0.9% increase compared to the area sown as of the same date in 2016, the Agriculture Ministry said in a statement on Friday.

The sown area accounts for 97% of the area planned for sowing spring crops.
